DAISY LILLIAN OLIVER (nee BLUNT) 1920 - 2015 With sadness, the family announces the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Daisy Lillian Oliver, on September 28, 2015, at the age of 95 years, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Daisy was born in Hamilton, Ontario on August 4, 1920, and was a longtime resident of Trenton, Ontario. She was married to SQDRN/LDR Jack Oliver, who predeceased her in 1966. She was also predeceased by her parents, Louise and Adam Blunt and brother James in 1998. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Brian) Scott, Gail and son Rob (Laura), as well as grandsons, Michael (Julie) and Jeffrey (Arlene) Scott, Christopher (Claire) and Patrick Oliver and great-grandchildren, Brodie and Breanna Scott and Shane and Taryn Scott. Daisy spent most of her life in Trenton, Ontario and worked at the Contac newspaper at the Air Force base, where she was known as one of the three "Grannies". When not working, she was actively involved in volunteer work at The Trenton Memorial Hospital. In 2007, her 40 years of service was recognized with a Provincial Life Membership in the Hospital Auxiliary Association of Ontario. At Daisy's request, there will be no funeral service. The family will celebrate her life at a private gathering. The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care provided by the staff of West Park Manor personal care home during her stay there.
