KATHLEEN KLATT In the early morning hours of October 2, 2015 at the Ashern Personal Care Home, Kathleen Klatt aged 94 years of Moosehorn, MB passed away peacefully. Kathleen was born and raised on the family farm on June 22, 1921 in the Birch Bay District near Hilbre, MB. She was educated there as well as in Grahamdale. After Ed's untimely passing, she worked as a care giver for several years. Kathleen was a dedicated mother and wife. She was the secretary/treasurer for both the Faulkner Community Club and the Faulkner Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Ashern Legion #57. She met Ed Nachtigall and were married for 27 years. They were blessed with three children; John who died in infancy, Ken (Joy) Nachtigall and Wanda (Al) Kohanik. Following Ed's passing of five years, she met and married John Haus and shared almost 20 years together. John passed away in 1991. Kathleen then joined her lifelong friend Bill Klatt in marriage in 1994 and enjoyed a wonderful life together for over 20 years. Each year, Kathleen and Bill loved taking their camper to the Austin Thresherman's Reunion. They also enjoyed travels to other areas and made a trip to visit Alaska. She is predeceased by her parents Iver and Emma; siblings, Ellen (Sigvald, Iver), James (Frances), Ida (Erik), Emma (Peter), Edmund (Rose), Iver, Betty (Cyril, Lionel), Martha and Tom. Kathleen is survived by her husband Bill Klatt; son Ken (Joy) Nachtigall; daughter Wanda (Al) Kohanik; sons Dan (Nyla) Klatt and Bert (Bev) Klatt; grandchildren Carla (Dwayne), Kyla, Kevin (Erin), Mark (Christa), Joanne (Larry), April and Paul; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Friends and relatives may pay their respects at a viewing to be held between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 in the Faulkner Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to be held in the Faulkner Cemetery with a lunch to follow in the Hall. Pallbearers will be Dan Klatt, Bert Klatt, Paul Klatt, Mark Klatt, Kevin Kohanik and Dustin Nachtigall. Our family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Ashern Personal Care Home, Pastor Bill Watson and John and Karen Gray of Arnason Funeral Home.
