Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUALHATI MANGUERRA TIONGCO (LULU) On Monday, September 28, 2015, Lulu passed away peacefully. At the age of 78, she was surrounded by loved ones and with the blessing of the Priest, was called to her final resting place with God. One of eight children of the late Lorenzo and Francisca Tiongco, Lulu was born in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines and courageously came to Canada in 1972. She is survived by her daughter Eileen, four grandchildren: Jhoreek (Shirley), Jholeen (Julian), Jhonattan, Jhonaleen; her great-grandchildren, Harmony and Maddox; and Kintaro. Lulu will also be greatly missed by her sister, Nancy (Nick) and two nephews, Johann (Jennifer) and Glenn. She also leaves in mourning her adopted daughter, Lulu (Elmer) and her five children: Kim, Camille, Kevin, CJ and Kyle. Lulu's love has been felt by many and she will remain in the hearts of her family and many friends in Winnipeg, Philippines and abroad. Lamay/viewing will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial (4000 Portage Ave.) on October 8 and 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Funeral service will follow on October 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church (836 Arlington St). Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with reception to follow. Lulu's family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 5th floor, unit 7. It's so sad to hear of your passing Mareng Lulu. Your caring for your grandkids and the laughter that we used to have will remain forever in our memories. Rest in peace now Mareng Lulu, may songs of the Angels welcome and guide you along your way as you walk your way toward home to face our Almighty GOD.
