WENDY THOMPSON (nee BOGDAN) It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Wendy Thompson, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She left us on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from the comfort of her own home in Winnipeg, at the age of 56 years. Left to cherish Wendy's memory are her husband Michael Thompson; sons, Justin Stear (Anika) and Nicholas Thompson (Leslie); grandson, Gordon Joseph Thompson; and respective families. Wendy was a wife, and a mother, whose shining personality brightened the lives of all around her. She married her husband Mike; with whom she spent 24 wonderful years, on July 27, 2002. Wendy worked much of her life at Walmart, where she was the OTC manager for many years. Never afraid to speak her mind, but with a heart of gold, she earned the respect and admiration of all who were privileged to know her. Summers would be filled with plenty of sunshine, be it gardening or just lounging with a book. Cold weather would always bring lots of baking and other assorted delicious foods. You could always count on Wendy to lend an ear or a shoulder, and her sense of humour would lighten anyone's mood. Although her time with us was cut much too brief, the impact she had on everyone's lives will continue to influence us all forever. No amount of time with you could ever have been enough, but we love you and miss you dearly. As per Wendy's request, there will be no service. • Wendy was more than my boss, she was a dear friend to me. More times than I can count, she has made me laugh till I've fallen over. She's also stuck up for me in so many ways, I can't number them. With her passing, it's like a light has gone out from the world. The sun does not shine as bright, and the grass is not as green. I will forever remember your laugh and your smile, and your quick wit. I will always hear your voice in the wind. Goodbye my friend, my mentor, my work mom, and my confidant. I will see you again, on the other side of the river. - Posted by: Felysha Jowett (Friend) on: Oct 06, 2015
