Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILDRED LORRAINE KROKER (nee KNOPF) September 22, 1932 - October 3, 2015 Peacefully on October 3, 2015, at the age of 83, Lorraine succumbed to her battle with cancer. Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband, Milton in 1993, her parents Theodore and Martha Knopf, an infant son, brother Randy Schirle and sisters-in-law Shirley Knopf and Mary Knopf. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Wayne (Joyce), Sandra (Herbert), Marlene, Don (Brenda), Ken (Lisa), Val (Wes) and Cheryl (Dean); her grandchildren Raquel (Doyle), Claire (Rick), Susan (Colin), Jennifer (Karl), Justin, Kent (Kaci), Brett (Brittany), Holly, Devan, Tasha (Brendan), Riley. Also eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mom is survived by her brothers Harvey Knopf and Edward Knopf and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom grew up in Oldenberg where she lived on a farm with her parents until she met Milton, the love of her life. They were married in 1949 and started their home on Dad's family farm in River Hills where they raised their seven children. Family was everything to Mom, in particular her grandchildren. She will be missed by all of us. A special thank you to Dr. Bruneau and staff at Pinawa Hospital, as well as the staff at the Ironwood for all of their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Pinawa, Box 220, Pinawa, Manitoba R0E 1L0. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Whiteshell Baptist Church, 74158 PR 408, Seven Sisters Falls, Manitoba.
