We lived next door to Joan, and became quite good friends. Joan was always working on her rental properties and making sure everything was kept up and looking good for the neighborhood. One thing Joan was never afraid of hard work, I would always see her cutting grass, planting flowers, painting the outside of one of her properties. She would put me to shame and she was 20 years my senior. We will miss seeing her, and having her friendship.
