Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLORIA FLORENCE MACGILLIVRAY (nee GOODLAND) 1933 - 2015 Peacefully, on October 6, 2015 after a brief illness, with her family at her side, Gloria passed into eternal life to be with our Lord. Gloria is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roy, her daughter Cathy (Chris Collier), her grandchildren Benjamin Flight, Bryan (Brittany), Andrew, and Jill Collier; as well as her sister Nancy Goodland and cousin Libby. She was predeceased by her children Bob and Nancy, and also her parents Prid and Florence Goodland. Gloria was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the Wolseley area. During her life, she and the family lived in Europe and in Canada with the Armed Forces. At the age of 42, she studied to be an LPN and spent her working years at Victoria General Hospital. More than anything, Gloria loved her many summers at Spruce Lake. She was an avid reader. She was very knowledgeable about the Canadian and world situations, with many unique and insightful views of events and life in general. Many thanks go to the staff and doctors of 5 North and the ICU at the Grace Hospital for their care and support as well as her family physician, Doctor Albak. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Gloria's name. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with reception to follow.
