MARIE MAYNARD (née COTE) Peacefully on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at the age of 89 years our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the Repos Jolys, surrounded by her family. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her children Robert (Irène), Richard (Louise), Gérald (Marthe), Luc, Marc (Gisèle), France (Marcel), Michelyne (Irvin), Yves (Louise) et Mario (Doris). She was predeceased by her husband Denis, her daughter Yvette, her grandchild James, her parents, her brothers and her sisters. Marie was born on May 2, 1926 in Piney, Manitoba. She later moved to La Petite Poule D'eau in northern Manitoba where she went to school. She spent most of her years in Saint-Malo where she met the love of her life, Denis Maynard. Together they created a beautiful life where they fully enjoyed their 10 children and later on, grandchildren. She enjoyed many years traveling with her husband. Our mother was a kind and special woman who touched the lives of many. She will always be remembered as a hard worker with a caring, generous and loving soul. Maman, tu as inculqué en nous les valeurs familiales. Les rencontres de famille, les fins de semaine à Menisino, les soirées à jaser autour de la table, à jouer aux cartes ainsi que les nombreux feux de camp étaient tous des moments précieux qui seront chéris non seulement par tes enfants, mais qui seront transmis aux générations futures. Maman, tu étais toujours à nos côtés pour nous aider, nous guider, nous offrir tes conseils. Suite à l'accident vasculaire cérébral, tu nous as démontré ta persévérance, ta détermination ainsi que ton courage. Ta joie de vivre et ton esprit compétitif seront sans doute manqués. Tu seras toujours dans nos pensées et dans nos coeurs! Tu nous manques déjà énormément! A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the St-Malo Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the St-Malo Cemetery. Prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. The family wishes to thank le Chalet in St-Malo, St-Pierre Hospital and the Repos Jolys for their tremendous care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to le Chalet St-Malo or Desalaberry Health District Centre Foundation Inc.
