PAUL NOVOG Peacefully in his sleep on October 15, 2015, Paul passed away at his home in Winnipeg. Paul was born in Winnipeg on March 16, 1945. He is survived by his beloved wife Odette (Dion) of 43 years; sister Della (Ulysses) and sister-in-law Denise; in-laws Raymond (Dorren), Lionel (Nicole), Denis (Pauline); and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces. Paul was predeceased by his parents Victor and Cecile Novog and his brother Raymond; In-laws George and Marie Dion and nephew Andre Dion. Paul started No-Vac central vacuum in 1994, a very successful company he ran until his retirement a few years ago. A handyman, Paul was very meticulous with his work and was always there to help family and friends with household items that needed repair. Eight years ago Paul completed his dream project and built himself a sprawling, two-car garage where he liked to spend a lot of his time. His yard was his pride and joy, which was evident to anyone who stopped by for a visit. Paul loved his sports, including baseball, hockey, golf and football and he loved talking about the latest games with his fellow sporting enthusiasts. Paul enjoyed golfing with Odette and close friends. Paul will be remembered for his joyful character, his quick wit, his sense of humour and above all his infectious laugh. He was a caring soul who loved his family and will be dearly missed. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday October 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Parish of St. Timothy, 135 John Forsyth Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Father Fred Olds officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd. in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

  • Our sincerest condolences to you Aunt Odette and Aunt Della. Uncle Paul always had a good sense of humor and laugh for everyone. I wanted to share a wonderful memory that makes me smile.. remembering when you guys came to the beach last summer, it was such a beautiful and perfect day.. we all sat and sat on the beach, and talked and laughed, had a BBQ fit for kings (those may have been his words).. he was happy and truly enjoying the 'gift' of the day. I will also remember him laughing, smiling, and of course, telling a joke or two, and his easy going spirit and good nature. He was a caring, kind and gentle man and I will truly miss him. May God's Blessings be with you during this difficult time. Sending love and lots of big hugs, Annette & Tom xoxo - Posted by: Annette Brodbeck (Niece) on: Oct 17, 2015
