JOSEPHINE (FINE) KLATT (nee REHBERG) Born December 3, 1929 - Deceased October 14, 2015 She is survived by her husband of 63 years Friedrich, sons Karl-Heinz (Margaret), Fred (Debbie), Arthur (Paulina) and daughters Frieda (Mark) and Rose-Marie (Walter). Ten grandchildren and six and a half great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Alex (Ruth), sister Olga, sister-in-law Berta and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her brothers Karl, Eduard, Friedrich, her sister Maria (Raedcher), brothers-in-law Hans Raedcher, Karl Weiss and nephews Hubert and Mike. Josephine was born in Koplanow, Ukraine and later, during the Second World War, moved with her family to Germany. Here she gained her love of flowers by working in a greenhouse. In September, 1952 she married Friedrich Klatt. On August 7, 1955, they arrived in Winnipeg. They worked hard to raise their five children and loved each new addition to their family. They have been members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church since they arrived in Winnipeg. Josephine loved to sing in the choir. She was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary and loved visiting shut-ins. In 2009 Josephine became a resident of Calvary Place Personal Care Home where she and Friedrich became part of a new family. She died there peacefully in her loving husband's arms. The family wishes to extend our appreciation for the incredible care she received while at Calvary Place. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Calvary Place Personal Care Home or St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She is now singing in heaven. Rest in peace Mom and Oma. You will be missed by all. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church on Walnut and Wolseley. Viewing will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will occur at 2:00 p.m. at the Brookside Cemetery.
