JOHANN (JOHN) LOTZ 1923 - 2015 On October 18, 2015 our beloved husband, uncle and friend passed away at the age of 92 in Middlechurch Nursing Home, where he had resided for the past 17 months. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 62 years, Caroline Lotz, his sister Elizabeth in Germany, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Conrad. Johann (John) was born on January 22, 1923 in Yugoslavia. He moved to Germany after the war and then immigrated to Winnipeg in 1956, where he worked for Moore's Quilting for the next 30 years. Johann was a man who made friends wherever he went and was the life of many social gatherings. He loved to bowl, take his dog Balkie for walks, dance, tell stories and spend time with his friends. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Middlechurch Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided to John. John lived life to the fullest and will be missed by many. Service to be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2528 King Edward Street on Friday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Pallbearers will be: David McWilliams, Blaine Cornwell, Jim Lotz, Carl Lotz and Ivan Pisker.
