Sadly I did not know Eddie personally, however, I did get to know him very well over the 10 plus years that he shopped at the grocery store I work for. I absolutely loved his sense of humor and witt, I mean LOVED...The man was so sharp and quick witted which is why I would always enjoy engaging him in conversation. Most of my interactions with fellow customers are boring and mundane, but not with Eddie Spaghetti(as I would call him on a regular basis which would insight a hearty laugh). I would talk music, stand up comedy, tv shows, psychology, and a bunch of other numerous topics, I would also often ask his advice on certain personal problems I may had been struggling with; he was that insightful and intuitive. I just learned of his passing a few days ago, and I'm saddened he has left this planet far too soon. I will always cherish our silly banter, and engaging conversations. You will be missed Eddie, you were hands down my favorite customer. - Posted by: Don McFadyen (Aquaintance) on: Dec 17, 2015

My dearest friend Pearl, my heart aches for you. I am so shocked and saddened by Eddie's passing. Although I haven't seen Eddie in some time I do have very fond memories of him. Great parties with the two of you, guitar playing by Eddie and of course you were our neighbors for a while back in St. Vital. He was a sweet man. My heart goes out to you and Connor. - Posted by: Pat Constable (friend) on: Oct 27, 2015

I wish I would have gotten to know him better. I just remember he loved to play guitar and we had that in common when we got together a couple of times in Calgary. I pray for strength for the family in getting through the next tough weeks/months/years. - Posted by: Dorothy Chyzyk (Cousin) on: Oct 26, 2015

It brings me great sadness to hear of Eddie's passing! Although Eddie and I only worked together at Costco, for a short time, we had an immediate bond. We talked about everything under the sun. Wow ! Hard to believe he's gone! He was an incredibly upbeat, positive, and fun guy to be around. He will be missed! My sincerest condolences to Eddie's family. Ed, you will be remembered by many. You have the gift to offer a smile even when others were left in depression. I could go on and on, but I speak for my brothers and with regards to your family when we say we'll see you again. How very lucky we were to have Ed not only in our private lives but to have him become a friendly fixture at our company, Sarbit Advisory Services. So now, two families, are here mourning his loss. Ed we will miss everything about you! You were the most skilled craftsman we have ever met and you took great pride in your work. No job was too small nor too challenging. The finished projects always perfect. But on a human level, you touched so many lives with your generosity, kindness, jokes and your huge smile. You made everyone feel important and special, as you were to all of us. Our deepest condolences to the family for being robbed by the loss of Ed at this young age. His loved ones were a top priority for Ed. He conveyed that to us all the time. No one can replace him as he gave back in spades. How very honored we are to have known him. The doorbell rings and we still look to see if he has dropped in to say hello. But now it is so difficult for all of us to say farewell. Rest Ed- we pray you are at peace. Ed had a deep love for his family and a fierce pride in his son Connor. He was easy company with a quick smile and a warm heart. His sense of humor and his kindness were plain to see. For all of us who loved and cared about you the shock of your passing has left us in a world that has lost some of it's precious light (but heaven is brighter than ever). Rest in peace Ed. - Posted by: Paul & Frances (Relatives) on: Oct 21, 2015

Ed always had a smile on his face. Always a story to tell. Laughing was a common sound heard in our home when Uncle Ed was over. Pearl, Connor, no words can express how we feel but know we are thinking of you. - Posted by: Neil and Susan (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2015
