Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIAN GORDON MACPHERSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ian Gordon MacPherson, 93 years, on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Ian will be greatly missed by his wife of 69 years, Cynthia; children Anthea (Murray), Stewart (Yvonne), and Cheryl (Jeff); seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A celebration of Ian's life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at 39081 Fey Road, Grand Marais, Manitoba. In the mid-80's my friend Ian worked for Manitoba Emergency Health Services. I was working for Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization as a Training and Education Officer at the time. We collaborated in teaching Hospital/Personal Care Home staff in the essential information required (at the time) for Special Care Facilities etc. Ian was someone that I enjoyed working with. I worked with Ian when he was the manager of the Emergency Medical Services Branch of Manitoba Health. He was a caring man, and he was dedicated to improving service to the people. We did many road-trips to meetings around the province. - Posted by: Norm Troughton (colleague) on: Oct 21, 2015
