WALDEMAR FOSS 1924 - 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Waldemar Foss, our father and Opa, on October 19, 2015 at the age of 90 years. Waldemar was predeceased by his wife Lydia, his parents and siblings. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Ruth (Julian); son Harold (Wanda); grandchildren, Luke (Eve), Kirsten, Matthew, Jared; and his great-grandson Wilson. Waldemar immigrated from Germany to Winnipeg in 1951. He was joined by Lydia in 1953 when they wed and soon began to raise their family. Waldemar retired from Dominion Bridge after 31 years of employment. Dad kept busy working on many projects around the house. He loved spending his summers surrounded by family and friends at the cottage in Petersfield. Opa also greatly enjoyed quiet afternoons in the back yard, watching the traffic go by and listening to his transistor radio. Mom and Dad travelled the world and particularly cherished the trips when they were joined by their children and grandchildren. Dad's generosity, unconditional love and support will remain in our hearts forever. A memorial service in celebration of Waldemar's life will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.
