Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE GEORGINA KROVATS (nee MAKSYMCZUK) Since before time you have been free. Birth and death are only doors through which we pass, sacred thresholds on our journey. Thich Nhat Hanh Our mom, our Rosie, began a journey here on February 20, 1929 and passed through a sacred threshold to be free to travel further on her journey on Monday, October 19, 2015. We as her daughters; Paulette Krovats (Eric Anderson), Penny Haywood (Jonas Haywood) and Carol Rempel (Blaine Rempel) will miss her, but we know that her spirit is in us and surrounds us always. Rosie was a kind, compassionate and loving woman. From her we felt and witnessed her capacity for unconditional love toward everyone she came in contact with. We will be honoured to carry on, as best we can, with those gifts she bore and nurtured in us. Rosie was all those persons many of us find ourselves to be; daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunty, friend and confidante. She was also a professional nurse who brought to her practice a wealth of knowledge and a steady hand in the storms of the lives of the people whom she cared for, all with unwavering compassion and kindness. Mom was also a talented crafter; sewing, knitting, elegant embroidery. We are lucky to have many of her projects to grace our homes and to remember her talent. Mom was passionate about her sports; the Bombers, the Jets and the Moose; and loved her teams nearly as passionately as she loved her people. Mom was a wicked Canasta opponent and, as kind as she was everywhere else, card games were her battlefield. She was quiet, smooth and totally cunning. Rosie really liked to win! We were lucky to have had Rosie as our mom, but as good as she was at being a mom she was truly grand at being a grandmother. Also carrying on Rosie's legacy of kindness and caring are her grandchildren, Chloette (Haywood) Patsakos and James, Dustin Haywood, Brendan Robson and Naomi, Kevin Robson and Leanne and David Robson and Kristin. And true to her roles, once Mom was good, then she was grand, and then she was great! Her great-grandchildren; Pierson and Christian Patsakos, J.J. and Randi Haywood, Hunter and Jasper Robson, Lauren Trottier, Makenna, Keira and Rylan Robson and Arianna Robson have known and will remember much of their very great grandmother. She truly did get better with each generation that came to her. Mom also had a great love for her adopted sons; Jonas Haywood with whom she shared a kindred spirit and Blaine Rempel who has been in Mom's inner circle since he was a teenager. Also remembering Rose with love are her dear niece, Joan Rasmussen, and family friend Eric Anderson, as well as her former son-in-law, John Robson and many good friends and relatives. A private family ceremony will be held, and we will be spreading Rosie's ashes at a later date. A special thank you to the family at Holy Family Home. The staff and volunteers from every corner took care of, and cared for, our mother and all of us with compassionate heart and true kindness. We will be forever grateful for what they did for our flower. If you wish to honor Rose's legacy and celebrate her truly momentous life, you can donate to Holy Family Home, 165 Aberdeen Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2W 1T9 in her name, or to a charity of your choice.
