Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM BARRY ABRAM The battle was short but the fight was valiant, supported by family and friends, on October 21, 2015, Barry passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital at age 80. Barry was predeceased by his parents Lawrence William (Bill) and Mary Elizabeth (Dora) Abram. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Loreen, and children, Blaine (Glenda), Ronald (Sandra) and four grandchildren, Blair, Lindsay, Marissa and Evan, who will miss him dearly, but are eternally grateful for the time they had together. The oldest of three children, Barry will be greatly missed by his siblings Marilyn Walker (Bruce) their children Kim, Michael (Rachael), David (Sandi) and Chris (Nicole). Janice McKay (Rob) and their children Cristina McKay Vielfaure (Joce) and Janey McKay (Kyle Gallagher). Born and raised in Winnipeg, Dad was a Manitoba boy at heart. After 32 years in the Military, Dad retired in Winnipeg, where he and Mom spent the next 25 years travelling during the winters and spending the long summer days at the cottage. Dad always had a project on the go and never lacked in filling his days. Barry was a warm and generous person who was respected by immediate and extended family and his many acquaintances. He will be fondly remembered for his warm smile. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A private family service will be held at a later date. Very Sorry to hear of your Great Loss. Barry was a very special friend to our whole Family. We shall cherish our memories forever of our times in Trenton and Winnipeg.
