Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE CLARISE BENOOT (MACDONALD, TAYLOR, MCLEAN) Rose Clarice Benoot, born February 24, 1927, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Tideview Seniors Home in Digby, NS. Born in Glace Bay, NS, she was the third child of Edouard Benoot and Sarah Agnes (Sadie MacIsaac) Benoot. With her first husband, Philip Stephen MacDonald, Rose raised six children: Robert Charles (Bobby) Livingstone (Eleanor MacPhee), Reserve Mines, deceased; Anna Marie Davison (Roger), Mahone Bay; Roderick Stephen (Roddie), Vancouver, deceased; Neil Joseph (Betty), Winnipeg; Joan Clarise Adnum (Arnold), Digby; Wayne Matthew (Sharon Bearnes), Dominion; and bonus son, Richard Lee Taylor, Winnipeg. They divorced in 1966. Rose married Gordon George Taylor who passed away in 1973 in Glace Bay, NS. Her third marriage was to Thomas Young McLean, who passed away in 1996 in Halifax, NS. She is survived by 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and her sister Muriel Ann Hallock, St. Thomas, ON. Rose was predeceased by her brothers John Edward, Cold Lake, AB, Joseph Isaac, Windsor, ON; eldest sister, Mary (Marie) Blanchette, Mattawa, ON, one grandson and one great-granddaughter. Rose lived the first half of her life in Glace Bay where she worked at the local fish plant, opened her home to care for the elderly, and did housekeeping. Following Gordon's death, she lived at various times between Winnipeg, MB and Bridgewater, NS. She loved travelling, reading, and collecting angels. A very big Thank You to the Tideview Terrace staff for their many kindnesses; and to Dr. Martin Robitaille for his care and attention to Mother's needs. As per Mother's wishes, her body has been cremated. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, November 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Yarmouth Corps, 103 Brunswick Street. Interment and a Graveside Service led by the Salvation Army Glace Bay Corps will take place at Greenwood Cemetery on Highland Street on Sunday, November 8 at 3:00 p.m. Family flowers only. Bequests may be made in Rose's name to the Salvation Army Glace Bay Corps.

My deepest sympathies to my friend Joan and Arnold and all Rose's family. I am pleased to say I met Rose just this past summer in Digby,Nova Scotia. As I was enjoying my vacation Joan and I would pop in to visit. Rose at THE TIDEVIEW SENIORS HOME in Dibgy .She had good days and bad but always checked to see if I was enjoying my self while on holidays. May you rest in peace Dear Rose.
