Philip was ever and always a man who was never ashamed of his strong belief in God and an advocate for his church's Biblical teachings. He had a sense of humour which he retained into his seventies; even in his wheelchair, I recall the young children having fun with him in the foyer at church. One of the qualities that I remember with admiration is that he was not proud about accepting help when it was offered. He was strong and knowledgeable in Bible discussion. To all members of the family, I convey my deepest sympathy knowing that they share Philip's hope and firm faith that "There is laid up for him a crown of righteousness." - Posted by: Olive NIMBLETT (Friend of the family, member of same family of faith) on: Nov 01, 2015

Bro PHILIP LAWRENCE, God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be, so he put his arm around you and whispered "come to me". On that resurrection morning when God's trumpet call resound and the graves of the saints are opened and God's children leave this ground, we expect and know that you will raise to leave this earth behind. You will be raised and made immortal, you'll greet your Jesus in the skies. Bro Lawrence sleep on till then, See you in the morning. The Lord cares deeply when His loved ones die.
