JACK JOSH (JACOB) NEUFELD On October 30, 2015, a strong heart stopped beating, a kind voice was made quiet and the gentle soul of Josh was welcomed by all those waiting. It is with sorrow that we must announce the sudden passing of our father, Josh. He was predeceased by his dear wife, Ruth and beloved sister, Edith. He leaves behind to mourn his eldest sister, Helen; his four boys, Ron (Franceen), Don (Peg), Bob (Surena) and Tom (Lori) and will be greatly missed by his seven grandchildren and their partners, and seven great-grandchildren. He was a humble and quiet man, offering support to many special nieces, nephews, relatives, in-laws, friends and church family. Josh was born on October 16, 1927, in Kleefeld, MB, the second of three children born to Jacob and Marie (née Giesbrecht). With a minister as a father, Josh spent most of his early years in Winnipeg. After marrying Ruth, the love of his life for 64 years, they lived in many different cities in Canada while dad worked for The Hudson's Bay company. After retirement, he pursued a successful career in Real Estate and property management. Mom and dad later retired to Roland and then Carman where they were active in the Gospel Light Church, the Manitoba Church in Elm Creek and more recently, Dad has called The Carman Mennonite Church home. Josh had a full life, married his greatest love, and above all cherished his family. He was a man of high integrity, soft spoken and gentle, who was always there to help however he was able. A celebration of Josh's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 4 in the Carman Mennonite Church on 1st Ave. SW. Donations in memory may be made to Boyne Valley Corp or Carman Palliative Care. Thank you to Doyle's Funeral Chapel and the ministers of the Carman Mennonite Church for their guidance at this difficult time. As per Dad's wishes, cremation and private interment will take place prior to the service. Doyle's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. www.doylesfuneralchapel.com
