• I remember baking gingerbread around Christmas time about 9 years ago with Baba in our kitchen. The other memory that keeps popping up is of when we would visit Baba at the farm and right when we walked in, we would smell onions frying and perogies boiling. She would be in the kitchen with a hair net on, rolling out the dough. After almost 10 years, I still hold these memories close to my heart. • I remember being in Arborg and doing some shopping with you and mom. People in town would see you and stop to chat for a while. You’d greet them with a smile and ask how they were. Sometimes I’d ask you who it was and you’d say “I don’t know!” and we’d laugh. You made a lasting impact on everyone you met, including me. • My baba was a kind, strong, hard-working and loving person. She taught me so many things in life and I am so glad that I got to spend so much time with her. I remember cooking with her, gardening with her, laughing with her and having some of the best times of my life with her. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her and I miss her with all my heart. I am thankful that I have people in my life who loved her when she was with us on earth and continue to love and miss her as much as I do. She made a huge impact on my life and I try to live life like she did: love everyone equally, treat all people with kindness, value family above all and to be strong even when things get hard. • As a young girl I remember Sophie working for my dad in the Fisher Branch Motor Hotel. I always remember her with a big smile. She was very kind and lots of fun to be around.
