RENE ROLAND JOSEPH PREFONTAINE November 25, 1942 - November 4, 2015 With great sorrow Rene's family announces his passing after a very courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his wife of 39 years Lynn; his sons Ron and Corey; his daughters Darlene and Lori; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters and brothers; as well as in-laws. Rene loved to hunt and fish, playing his guitar and singing with his family. He worked many years in construction; the last three years were with Glenat Enterprises, a job which he enjoyed thanks to Marc and Mickey. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him, he is at peace now. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 for at the St. Charles Parish, 320 St. Charles Street with Father Michael Wollbaum officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd. in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

I will always remember Rene's guitar playing and singing. His laugh was so contagious, anyone around him instictly new it was him.
