Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES STEWART COUTTS (nee FINNIE) December 17, 1923- November 5, 2015 Peacefully with family by her side Agnes Coutts passed away at the age of 91. Agnes leaves to mourn her daughter, Mave (Bill) Dickson; granddaughters, Debbie, Angie (Dave) and great-grandson Ty (Tash) as well as several nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her son Gordon in 1945 and her husband Alexander in 1986. Agnes was born the youngest of nine on December 17, 1923 in Elphinstone, Manitoba where she enjoyed working hard on the family farm and adventures with her siblings. Agnes married Alexander Coutts on December 27, 1941. They lived on a farm at Elphinstone and later moved to Winnipeg. Agnes and Alex shared 44 years together. She was a fantastic caregiver and homemaker with an affinity for baking delicious treats and sharing tea. For several years she enjoyed her work as a pharmacy clerk at The Bay and homecare. Agnes embraced both triumph and tragedy in her life with grace and courage and was a guiding light to many. Her kindness was felt by all who knew her. A celebration of life will held Tuesday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. from the United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota Street, Winnipeg. Interment to follow at The Bend Cemetery, Strathclair, Manitoba, at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the charity of your choice.
