WILLIAM (BILL) KUCHAR 1924 - 2015 With deep sadness the family of Bill Kuchar announces his passing on October 18, 2015, at the Maples Personal Care Home. Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years Mary, daughter Diane (Rick), grandchildren Darlene and Shayne and great-grandson Billy; son Dick (Wendy); brother Joe (Beverley) and their children Leanne (Craig), their son Troy; Gary (Erin); stepgranddaughter Trish (Jason), their daughter Sydney. He was predeceased by parents John and Christine. Bill was born January 31, 1924 in Winnipeg. He fought in Europe with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles from 1943 until the end of the war. Upon his return he became an upholsterer until he joined TCA (now Air Canada) in 1956. He transferred to Vancouver in 1970 until 1980 when he returned to Winnipeg retiring after 32 years. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the 2nd floor staff (Spruce Ward) of the Maples Personal Care Home for their compassion and dedication to Bill. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre, 730 Century St., Winnipeg, MB.
