Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY MAY KNAPP (PUDDIFANT) March 31, 1934 - November 5, 2015 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great- Grandmother, Shirley. Peacefully at Stonewall Hospital, after a lengthy illness, Mom left us to reunite with Dad. Left to cherish Mom's memory are her children: Brenda (Gord), Jacquie, Rhonda (Dave), Chris (Cori), Barb, Alli (Henri), Craig (Kim); grandchildren: Jason (Tanya), Tamara (Kory), Crystal (Chad), Melissa (Ryan), Adam, Victoria, Vaughn, Jake, Carter and Wallace; great-grandchildren: Jaydon, Bennett, Jack, Jonah and Aval; brother Al; sister-in-law Edna; Aunt Georgie, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Mom was predeceased by husband Jack; son-in-law Dave; granddaughter Amber; brothers Frank (June), Harold (Helen), Jim (Dolly), George; sisters Marj (Scotty) and Doreen; sister-in-law Blanche; her parents Charles and Myrtle; mother and father-in-law Lloyd and Nettie. Mom was born in Winnipeg. In 1948 Mom met Dad in Battersea, Ontario and they married July 1952. They began their family in 1953 having the three oldest girls in Kingston, Ontario. Seven years later the family moved to Manitoba and settled in Stony Mountain where they raised two sons and two more daughters. Mom was raised in a big family and kept the tradition going in ours. Mom chose to be a homemaker because her children were her priority. She made certain her kids had washed, mended and ironed clothes, food on the table and our house was always clean and tidy. Mom was humble, never liked a fuss or the attention on her. Her love for watching sports, journeys to "the office" and visiting friends were some of her favorite things. We will miss you and love you forever. Now you and Dad can watch the Jets games together in the skybox! A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall at 1:00 p.m. Our family sincerely thank Mom's Home Care workers at Lions Manor, Dr. Webedda, the nurses and staff at the Stonewall Hospital for their kindness, caring and consideration to Mom during her illness. She thought "all of her girls" were very special. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory can be made to "Jake's Team" at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1101-191 Lombard Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3B 0T4 or the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, R3A 1P6.
