ANDREW ROBERT MCLARTY Andrew Robert McLarty, a terrific son, grandson, brother, cousin, friend, and all around amazing person, passed away accidentally on November 10, 2015. He was born on February 1, 1995 in Calgary, and has lived in Winnipeg since 1999. Andrew was an active, creative person who was involved in many activities, including camping and campfires, swimming, and gaming. Of all his passions, his great love was Scouts. Andrew travelled Canada from coast to coast, attending various jamborees and adventuring in Newfoundland. Andrew graduated from Grant Park High School, and was very involved in environmental science. He had been attending the University of Manitoba with an interest in sciences. Andrew was a kind soul who loved his family, fishing, and cooking, and lately was a budding blacksmith, furthering his interests in traditional crafts and metalwork. He is survived by his parents Bob and Lorna, sisters Emma and Lizzie, grandparents Ed and Dorothy Hearn and Margaret McLarty, as well as many loving uncles, aunties, and cousins. Andrew was very active in boy scouts and Memorial donations can be made to his local Scout group, 67th Winnipeg Group Committee, in care of Tim McManus, 35 Rosewarne Ave., Winnipeg, R2M 0V8. Please wear your favourite tee shirt or scout shirt. He loved red. A celebration of Andrew's life will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 7:00 pm at Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Avenue.
