GLADYS JOANNE DEMOREST A mother's love is unconditional and forever. It is with deep heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Joanne Demorest, on Friday, November 6, 2015. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on September 23, 1921, she lived most of her school age years in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She married Bert Demorest January 9, 1944, and in 1946 settled in Southey, Saskatchewan. In 1970 they moved to Winnipeg. Joanne is predeceased by her husband, Bert, her daughter, Marcia, her granddaughter, Katie, and her son-in-law Blair, her parents Harry and Gladys Orme, her siblings David and Betty, and numerous family members on her husband's side. She is lovingly remembered as the most unselfish and giving Mom, by Cherie (Leanne and Rob), Brian and his wife Jayne (Caeleb Leanne, Kaeden, Will, Quinn, Eli, Kat, Grady, Sada, Shaden, Andon, Ashton, Molly, Jacob, Andrea, Steve, Taylor, Noah, Greg, Sarah, Gavin and Gage), Denise and her husband George (Kristy, James, Mackenzie, Brenna, Brady, Berkeley), Michelle and her husband Alfie (Nick, Christina, Cayden, Anna), Shannon and her husband Eugene (Julian and Dylan) as well as Kevin, Christine, Maya, Samara, Paul, Travis and David MacLean, Al and Barb Simmons, and Joanne's brother, Harry Orme and family, plus sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and great friends. A celebration of Joanne's life will be held on Saturday, November 21 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Kildonan House, 216 Edison Avenue, Winnipeg.
