Dear Yvonne and Anita, Freya and Danielle, My condolences on the passing of your dear Priscilla. I remember so many visits, dinners and (way-back-when) sleep-overs at the Koves home(s). She was so very kind, and such a gracious hostess. Of course, we loved her sense of style & those unique braids! Having recently lost my own mum, I'll just add: cherish all the memories...laugh and cry.....and forgive her any transgressions. May she rest in peace. Much love, Belinda - Posted by: Belinda Southwell (Family friend from Grenada/Barbados) on: Nov 21, 2015

Dear Anita & Yvonne, I am sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Certainly my memories of Aunt Pris are of an energetic, stylish, loving, kind and generous women who enjoyed life and family. We all know mothers are so special. They nurture us, guide us, and love us unconditionally. There is only one mother, and to lose someone so special is devastating. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Much love your cousin Renée. XOX - Posted by: Renée Champagne (Niece ) on: Nov 20, 2015

Dearest Anita & Yvonne, So sad to hear about Auntie Priscilla. I have such fond memories of your mom with her beautiful jet black braided buns coming to Montreal on a business trip when we were kids. My dad brought us all downtown to meet her and we all went to Ben's for smoked meat. Your mom was the first "business woman" I ever met and she left an impression on me as being an original liberated woman of the sixties. She brought us loads of fancy underwear and silky night gowns from her lingerie plant, which were so classy compared to our cotton granny pants! She was so stylish and such a globe trotter, yet so down to earth and full of stories of places she had been. Thank goodness for FaceTime as it gave our parents a chance to connect for a while before they both passed. It meant a lot to my dad to be able to see his sister and chat with her. In the end it's all about family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. With love & heartfelt sympathy, Claudette & family - Posted by: Claudette (Champagne) Smith (Niece) on: Nov 19, 2015

Dear Yvonne and Anita, we are sending our condolences to you and your families. Our thoughts are with you all during this time of sadness. Losing a loved one is always so very difficult, and one of the most difficult experiences is losing our beloved mom. I have so many warm and wonderful memories of your mom...starting from childhood in Grenada (Southwell and Koves families) and later on Al and I always thoroughly enjoyed our times with her and with you (Yvonne), Freya and Dani in Barbados, and later in Canada visiting (with my mom also) when your mom visited. So many precious memories to treasure, lots of fun times together. We have been blessed to share such times with your lovely mom/gramma....and you have been truly blessed to have had her for all these years. May she rest in peace and may you find comfort and peace in the days and months ahead as you reflect on her life and your life with her. With much love, Jill (Auntie Jill) and Al (Uncle Al). - Posted by: Jill & Al Matthews (Family friend of many years) on: Nov 19, 2015

My sympathies to Priscilla's daughters. I have met you and your mother a long time ago, when your grandparents, my great Uncle and Aunt, Celestin and Eva were alive. My late mother Beatrice is Priscilla's first cousin. My grandfather Alphonse Champagne is Celestin's older brother from St. Norbert. I'm doing the Champagne family tree and would love Yvonne and Anita to contact me, for some information. - Posted by: Richard Girouard (Cousin and formerly from Somerset, manitoba.) on: Nov 19, 2015
