CATHERINE (KATHLEEN) CUDDY (ROBERTS)
Born: Jan 06, 1921
Date of Passing: Nov 17, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHERINE (KATHLEEN) CUDDY (nee ROBERTS) Catherine (Kathleen) Cuddy passed into eternal peace on November 17, 2015, at her home, at the age of 94. Cath will be forever loved and remembered by her three children, Katharine Krokosh (James), Robert Cuddy (Judy), Patricia Cuddy and by her grandchildren Rodney (Visa), Ronald (Linda), Robert, Christine (Otmar), Cynthia (Roman), and Cheryl (Shaun). She will be sadly missed by her 12 great-grandchildren as well as by her numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Cath was born in Macclesfield, England on January 6, 1921 and was the eldest of three. While serving in the land army she met the love of her life, James Cuddy, and they were married in 1943. She subsequently immigrated to Canada as a war bride in 1945. Although she soon settled into her new country she always maintained pride in her English background. Throughout her life Cath became extremely active in a wide variety of charitable organizations too numerous to mention and she dedicated much of her time and vibrant energy towards them. She and Jim enjoyed their cottage life and were one of the pioneer cottage owners in a new cottage development. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel in Europe as a young girl and later in life to far off places such as Africa and Australia. Recently Cath said, "I'm getting so old, that all my friends in heaven think I didn't make it!", but she did. Cath led a vibrant and active life, was devoted to her family and extended family, and will live on in our memories forever. A celebration of Cath's life will be held on Monday, November 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

We met Catherine the weekend of Cynthia and Roman's wedding. We enjoyed how welcome she made us feel and loved sharing time with her. We continued to connect with Christmas cards updating each other with the past year's news and missed her lovely card last Christmas. What a beautiful picture of her. She will be missed. - Posted by: Paul and Joyce Boudreau (Father and Mother-in-Law of Granddaughter Cynthia ) on: Nov 22, 2015

Last Christmas was the first I had never received a card. We talked on the 'phone from time to time. I first met Cath in around 1982. She did so well to stay in her home and her mind was as sharp as a tack. Rose Robinson and Jean Doig were friends too. There aren't many us from that Club here anymore. Cath is in a better place. - Posted by: Ruth Kaspick (Friend from the British Wives Club) on: Nov 21, 2015
