I was so sad to hear of Gil's unexpected passing. He was a wonderful guy-extremely thoughtful of others, helpful and concerned. All of my family members will miss him tremendously. We had many wonderful dinners at Gil and Fred's home. The loss for Fred especially must be awful; he will be missed by so many of us though. - Posted by: Nyla Branscombe (Friend) on: Dec 08, 2015

I miss you so so much you meant the world to me. You will be in my thoughts and prayers forever. I never did get to say goodbye to you my friend it hurts me so... I love you deeply. Bye my love. You would wake up tip toe to the kitchen at 4:30 am to get ready to volunteer at the Princess Margaret Hospital Monday Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. I would sometimes hear you but, I would roll over and fall back fast asleep till my alarm would wake me. You had you funny ways about you sometimes you would joke about stuff and I admired this about you and sometimes you would just outright laugh about it. Even though I knew you were in such pain at times. I completely understood how you must have felt. Especially the time you took very sick to the radiation treatments and the hell you went through I was there to comfort you. I will miss you dearly all my love and kisses to you my dear friend. - Posted by: Fred Workman (Spouse) on: Dec 08, 2015

Gil will be lovingly remembered by both staff and patients at the PMH Blood Lab.He was one of a kind Always the first to arrive in the morning to set up even the paper clips were in line. He enjoyed joking with the patients. If they didn't get the joke then he would laugh at his own joke. Talk about getting the last laugh. That was Gil. He will be missed by us all - Posted by: patsy raymond (Co Worker Princess Margaret Blood Collection Lab) on: Dec 02, 2015

I would like to extend my condolences to the Hebert family. Gil was a great friend of mine. Fred, Gil and I spent countless weekends, mini-vacations, Christmases and Thanksgivings together. It was a terrible shock to hear of his passing and I was so fortunate to have spent time with him until as recently as this past Thanksgiving. Gil had a good heart. He was a good man. I shall miss him dearly. - Posted by: Lynne Steenkamp (Friend) on: Nov 30, 2015
