He was predeceased by his father, Fred Thompson, mother, Eva Thompson, sisters Hazel Thompson, Audrey Hatch, Elnora Montgomery and Joyce Darlington, and brothers, Gerald, Douglas, and Earle. Les will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Darlene, and sons Len Thompson and John Thompson (Natalie), grandchildren Emery and Briar Rose, and several nieces and nephews in Montreal, Ottawa, and British Columbia. Les enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, Disney Land and World, England, France and Kenora. He loved fixing things, especially cars, and was very handy. Les adored and loved his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3330 Notre Dame Avenue. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Robert Johnson, the first responders, the N3 West nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital and the ER for their care and compassion. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My condolences to the family. Les was a rare, exceptional mind, largely hidden in the world, but revealed to us in the chiaroscuro of mechanical rooms and crawlspaces. Remembering his clever sense of humor still cheers me up. - Posted by: Mel Rempel () on: Dec 17, 2015
