LINDA DARLENE BINDA It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Binda, on November 22, 2015, at the age of 62. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul (1985) and Ollie (2003). She is survived by her children, Daniel (Lorissa), Jennifer (Andrew) and Heather (Jeff); and her precious grandchildren, Hope, Jimmy, Atreyu, Easton and Makayla. She leaves to mourn her loving brothers, Rick (Michelle), Grant (Heather) and Glen (Brenda), and her six beloved nephews. Linda was a natural born caregiver. From an early age, she spent many hours caring for her three younger brothers. It was only fitting that she went on to graduate from Red River College and become an LPN and in later years, a home care attendant with the IRHA. Linda wore many 'hats' over the years but taking care of others was her true calling. Her gentleness and compassionate ways won the hearts of so many that she looked after. Linda had a special knack for turning mud into a beautiful flower bed, any house into a home and circumstance into adventure. In the fall of 2014, Linda took a trip of a lifetime and spent four months in New York. In true Linda fashion she was fearless exploring the city, seeing the sights and making friends along the way. Her life had taken her to many communities throughout Manitoba, but Gimli was always home. It was where she had settled to be close to family. Linda was a proud mom and was never too shy to boast about her children's accomplishments or recent endeavours. She cheered at countless hockey games, praised each good grade and celebrated all of life's victories with all three of her kids. She taught them the meaning of unconditional love, the importance of a small act of kindness and the value of their own unique abilities. There was rarely a family gathering where Linda's lap was empty. She was in her glory watching her grandkids play and spending time with family. Thanksgivings at Linda's will always be remembered with full stomachs, laughter and the comfort of her home. Linda cherished the years she watched her nephews grow from rambunctious boys to grown men and was proud to be their Auntie. Whether it was a trip to Bingo, movie night in or a comforting ear, she always made time for them. Never one to sit idle, Linda spent the last few years caring for her Grandkids. She baked cupcakes, read stories, sneaked cookies and pushed them the highest on the swings. Each of her Grandkids had stolen her heart and watching them with their Nanny has been the most amazing gift her family could ask for. They were her life and she lived for their hugs and kisses. She created beautiful memories that will live in our hearts forever. 'How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard' NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
