Keith was Regional Director when I began working as a staff rep. I appreciated his support and remember his last convention. He was so happy to have all the Manitoba staff united and enjoyed the time we had taking him out for lunch. Lorraine Sigurdson. - Posted by: Lorraine Sigurdson (CUPE colleague) on: Nov 29, 2015

My condolences to the entire Norton family. Keith was a true gentleman and a fine trade unionist. I was hired by Keith to work as a CUPE Representative in 1983. He was a mentor and a friend and I will always remember his good nature, his patience and his all round professionalism. Again, my sincere condolences to the entire family. I first met Keith Norton when I was a rank and file member of CUPE Local 500 and Keith was assigned to be the leader of a team which was tasked to integrate seniority lists of the 13 jurisdictions that made up the newly amalgamated City of Winnipeg. Keith's knowledge, patience, and wisdom led to a successful conclusion of this huge undertaking. A few years later when I became a staff member of CUPE, Keith became a true mentor to me. His experience and knowledge of collective bargaining, stewarding, and grievance procedures was very helpful. He was truly a softhearted man, always willing to assist and share his wisdom. My condolences to Keith's family. - Posted by: Bob Malazdrewich (CUPE Colleague) on: Nov 28, 2015
