LAURINE RIEL It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Laurine Riel on Monday, December 1, 2015 at the age of 92. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband John of over 58 years; her children Leanne (Faron) Whitequill; her grandchildren; and her sisters, Elsie (Gerry) of Vancouver and Rosemarie of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents Philema and Abe Martel; her first husband Eddie Drimes and other siblings. Lori was raised in Winnipeg and married John on December 29, 1956. They lived in Winnipeg for many years but then settled into the outskirts of Ste. Anne, Manitoba. Her interests included: upholstery (done for many years), cooking, gardening, ten pin bowling, curling, fishing, knitting, bingo and her time with family and friends. John would like to thank the staff at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne for their care. Special blessings to Sister Irene and Sister Celine for their constant support during this time. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB with an ash internment in the Ste. Anne Cemetery.
