JULIETTE PERRON It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juliette Perron on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 94. Juliette will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by brother André (Noëlla) Martel; daughter-in-law Shirley Jones; sisters-in-law Rita Martel, Darlene Martel, and Melina Perron; nieces, Paulette Martel, Suzanne (Rick) Walker, Nicole (Gerald) Woelke, Collette (Al) Macdonald and their respective families. She was predeceased by her husband Barney; son Robert Jones; sister Dora Ludwig; and brothers Paul, Armand, Lucien and Roméo Martel. Juliette started her working career at Actionmarguerite and later was employed at the T. Eaton Co. where she spent most of her working years. In her younger years, Julie and Barney would spend the majority of their summers at the cottage in the Big Whiteshell that they shared with her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Darlene. They would often be known to have impromptu get-togethers with family, friends and neighbours; and a good time was had by all. Following retirement, Julie and Barney would spend a few of the winter months in Palm Springs and Arizona. They also enjoyed traveling whether it was taking a cruise, visiting her aunt in Florida, her brothers in Vancouver, or simply a shopping trip to Grand Forks. Juliette was a very loving and caring individual who would offer to help all those in need. She thoroughly enjoyed visits from family and friends especially Danielle, Jaime, Taylor, Alexa, Meghan and Liam. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital, 2nd floor East Wing, as well as the nurses and staff at Actionmarguerite-St. Boniface, Unit 3 ABC. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Frère Germain Kpakafi at Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Roman Catholic Church, 289 Dussault Ave., in Windsor Park on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd. in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I had the pleasure of working with Juliette during many physiotherapy sessions. Juliette always wore a smile on her face and was eager to share a bit of humour! I will never forget the precious conversations we shared together! - Posted by: Sarah Rapko (Physiotherapist) on: Dec 07, 2015

  • I have so many wonderful memories of Julie that it would take a book to hold all of them. Julie was the big sister I never had and a third grandparent to our daughters Nikki and Colette. In later years she became a much loved Matante to our grandchildren. She was much loved by our whole family and will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Darlene Martel (sister-in-law) on: Dec 05, 2015
