Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOVERNA ROSE GOLDHAWK It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Gran, Great-Gran, with her family by her side, on December 9, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil, of 57 years, on August 9, 2007. Mom's memories will be cherished by her loving children: Janis (Howard) McMillan, Patti Firth, Todd (Cheryl) Goldhawk; Grandchildren: Jenna (Pat) Stafford, Tyler McMillan, Whitney (Glen) Spokes, Devin Firth and Samantha Stone, Brett Goldhawk and Justin Luce, Kristine Goldhawk; Great-Grandchildren: Addison, Jayda, Kasen, and Abany. Mom will be sadly missed by many friends. Mom was born January 14, 1930 in Moose Jaw, SK. Throughout the years of raising a family, Mom worked at the T. Eaton Co., Red River Insulation Co. and Ticketmaster. Mom was a social butterfly, she enjoyed entertaining and cooking. Our home was always filled with many social gatherings with family and friends. Mom had many passions; her dogs, Shara and Jazz, gardening, reading, the arts and going to movies on Tuesdays with the Ladies. Mom loved life. She was loving, kind, generous, friendly, and could light up a room with her smile. Most of all Mom loved spending time with the family and at the lake. We will miss you so much, but we know how excited Dad would be to have you again. Sleep well our Angel. Love you forever. Always in our hearts. Special thanks to the amazing staff at Riverview Palliative Care Centre, 3 East Wing. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In memory of Mom donations can be made to either Riverview Health Care 3-East Palliative Care Unit, CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of your choice.
