Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE SPARROW (nee CORMACK) Surrounded by the love of her family, Pauline passed away peacefully on December 8, 2015 at the age of 91, to be reunited with the love of her life Morris, who predeceased her in August 1998. Lovingly remembered by her children, Lynn (Jeff) Kendel, Norman and Neil; her grandchildren, Melonie (Shaylan) Okapiec, Jordan (Chelsey) Kendel, Delia (Steve) Trenholm, John (Kendra), Susan, Leana (Brendon) Buhler, Sean and Marissa (Tyler); and her great-grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Savannah, Ayla and Evan. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Pauline lived in East Kildonan for 57 years. She was predeceased by her parents - Alexina and William, sister Isabel and her husband George Thomson, sister-in-law Muriel and husband Bert Darroch, nephew and niece, Herb and Elizabeth Darroch. Married in September, 1946, Mom and Dad spent almost 52 years together. Mom loved her family and did everything she could to give her children a happy life. Mom was famous for her birthday cakes and chocolate chip cookies. She loved to bowl, swim and shop for bargains which suited her Scottish heritage. She was a loyal fan to her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and all the other special kids in her life. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Thanks from our family for all the kind words of support that were shared with Mom. She was a very special woman who always touched people in a positive way. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Pauline may be made to a charity of choice. When I was growing up. Mrs. Sparrow bought me 1 pair of panties at Xmas time. She would come to the door and hand me my gift. I was so excited. She was a wonderful lady. I met Pauline many years ago at an afternoon bowling league at Rossmere Lanes. She was then and to the last time I saw her not to long ago, a very gracious lady. Fun to be with and a caring person. My sincere sympathies to the family especially, Lynn, Jeff, Melonie and Jordon. May fond memories of your mother and grandmother sustain you during these most difficult times.
