JULIA ZIPRICK (nee KLIMACH) 1907 - 2015 As the morning sun shone through her window, Julia passed away peacefully at the River East Personal Care Home on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the age of 108 years. Julia will be sadly missed by her son Gerald; daughter-in-law Freda; as well as numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Adolf; son Philip; daughters, Margaret and Ada; and her six brothers and three sisters. On May 30, 1907, Julia was born in Poland and saw the end of World War One as a child. She was the youngest of ten children and had immigrated to Canada in 1923 with her parents and five siblings. Being a very healthy and active person throughout her life, Julia was always busy and involved in many varied activities. She loved to curl and continued doing so well into her seventies. Gardening, knitting, sewing and especially fishing were also favorite hobbies. Julia was a very loving and caring person who would offer to help anyone in need. She was also a very faithful and active member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. On Tuesday, December 15, 2015, Julia's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 59 Academy Road at Wellington Crescent, with Pastor Todd Hoeff, presider. Interment will be at a later date. Our family would like to thank the nurses and staff at River East Personal Care Home (Faith Lane) for the excellent and loving care they gave Mom during the seven and a half years she resided there.
