GLADYS LORETTA SHIMONEK (nee REAGE) February 28, 1937 - December 12, 2015 With heavy hearts, the family of Gladys Shimonek announces her passing after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, December 12, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. A longer obituary will be published on Wednesday.   • Gladys and I worked together when I first started working at Eastern Sales in the 70's, and she was a really great person to be around. She trained me to handle the reception desk with politeness, dignity, and always, a sense of humor. Although I have not seen her for many years, whenever I hear someone typing on a keyboard at lightning speed, I still remember Gladys fondly!
