Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNOEL MOURANT December 25, 1929 - December 13, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Isobel (Brabant) of 60 years; children Lorne (Jeri), Don (Angela), Jocelyn (Roger); grandchildren Dale, Robyn, Craig (Shandi), Sean and Kaitlin; great grandchildren Carter and Rylen; siblings Lenore (John-deceased), Paul (Betsy), Jules (Lucille); and sister-in-law Rose Marie. Noel was predeceaseed by his father Eugene; mother Noella; and his brothers Archie (Simone) and Charlie. Noel founded M&M Bulk Milk Service and hauled milk all his life until he retired in the 90s. He was a member of the Norwood Knights of Columbus for 51 years and was Grand Knight from 1983 1985. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Parish for 57 years. When you needed help, Noel was only a phone call away. Noel enjoyed his summers at their cabin in St. Laurent, going fishing and taking trips to the East and West coasts with his family. He took pleasure in teaching his children, many nieces and nephews and anyone else who wanted to learn how to water ski. He also loved snowmobiling in the winter months. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 18, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc St. Celebrants will be Fr. Peter Krasuski, PSS and Fr. David Brabant PSS. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers of Cornish 2 Interim Care at Misericordia Health Centre. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Holy Cross Church Building Fund. We love you Dad! So sorry to hear of Mr. Mourant's passing. I have many fond memories of spending time with the Mourant family in St. Laurent. I too, was taught how to water-ski by Noel. So very sad to hear about Mr.Mourants passing. He was a wonderful man!! Being a close friend to Jocelyn, I grew up with the family and spent a lot of time with them. Driving to various farms on the milk truck and every weekend to the lake. Mr. Mourant introduced me to ski-doing and we did a lot of this together. Water skiing at the lake was tried numerous times....He had soo much patience! Always willing to help everyone. He was like a father to me, and I will always remember this wonderful man.
