Ray passed away peacefully on December 12, 2015 in Parkview Place Revera Long Term Care Home with family by his side. Ray was predeceased by his wife Helen in 1998. Ray will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his son Darrell, daughter Janet (Thomas), his pride and joy, his grandchildren Raeann (Chad), and Trease. His sisters Shirley and Sylvia. As well as family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff from Parkview Place for all the help and care they provided. As per Ray's wishes no service will be held. Anyone who knew Ray knows he would raise a glass on any occasion, so we will raise one in his honour at a Celebration of Life on January 16, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Legion, 920 Nairn Ave. Bring good memories. I got to meet Ray a short time ago as a friend. He would comment in conversation with sarcastic humour with a smirking smile. Often when having a morning coffee with him the TV is on and be watching an old B/W western. We often talked about his old days in the Navy. Ray was a great friend and will be missed by many.
