JOSEPH DION November 6, 1924 - December 14, 2015 Joseph passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 14, 2015 at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 91. He will be sadly missed by his wife Genie of 67 years; his children, Gary (Peggy), Barbara (Larry), Carol (Marcel); grandchildren Keenan (Danielle), Graham (Crystal), Gary Andrew (Amanda), Charlene (Scott), Jonathan (Kirsten), Jeffery (Joan), Jennifer (Joel), Michelle (Scott); great-grandchildren Taylore, Julien, Owen, Wyatt, Matthew, Amy, Ben, Spencer, Alaya, Mackenzie, Paisley, Myriam, Olivier, Vincent and siblings brothers Ed (Barb) and Marcel. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Sophie Dion-Kydyk; siblings Paul, Arthur, Marie, and George. Joseph was born in Fisher Branch, MB where he grew up and attended school in Dumoulin. He farmed the family homestead until 1973 when they then moved to Winnipeg. Joseph was employed by Shore Glass and CP Rail before retiring in 1989. After retirement he enjoyed watching the Blue Jays and curling. He loved to spend time with the grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. Honorary pallbearers, his grandchildren, Charlene Allman, Jonathan Kisiloski, Jeffery St Laurent, Jennifer Fisette, Michelle Lyon, Keenan Dion, Graham Dion, Gary Andrew Dion. The family would like to thank Dr. Johnston and Dr. Dhaliwal and staff at CancerCare for their compassion. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to CancerCare or a charity of choice.
