Agnes passed away peacefully and comfortably at River Park Gardens on Saturday around 4:00 in the afternoon with family by her side. She was born at Horod, MB near Sandy Lake and attended a small rural school, Martindale. She married Peter Bachewich on July 19, 1942 and they farmed at Wolf Lake near Elphinstone. They moved to Chandler Quebec for a brief time during the war before returning to the Manitoba farm. In 1950 they moved into Winnipeg for their remaining years. Agnes was predeceased by Peter in 1993 and daughter Eleanor in 2011. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Leonard (Bev), Brian (Pam), grandchildren Darcee, Stephanie, Terri, Dale, Andrea and Mitchell, seven great-grandchildren, sister Helen and brothers, Paul, Donald, Martin, Nick and Metro. Mum was an avid gardener and fed the family and neighbours with her vegetables. She won awards from the Charleswood Horticultural for her gardening abilities. The family thank the caring and devoted caregivers at Briarwood and River Park Gardens for their dedication in making Mum's last 7 years as happy and fulfilled as possible. In lieu of flowers and in memory of our Mum, donations may be made to the CNIB or Canadian Arthritis Society. Dear Brian and Pam and family, The picture of your mom caught my eye first. It is a beautiful photo of a beautiful lady. My deepest sympathy on your loss. I have fond memories of your mom and dad when we used to play Canasta with them. I got to know them in a whole new way and we always had a great deal of fun and laughter. I know she will be missed. Our prayers are with you. - Posted by: Monique (Aquin) Graboski (Old friend) on: Dec 29, 2015
