Lena was predeceased by her husband Harold, infant son, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law Mac, seven brothers and one sister. Mom will be missed by son Brian, daughter Kathy (Norm), Diane (Jim) Moroz, Barbara Horn and son Kelvin (Bonny), ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lena was a member of the Ferndale United Church, Ferndale Ladies Group and the Sanford Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Many thanks for the compassionate care Mom received on 5N at the Victoria Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Adam. Also, thank you to the SEPCH, where Mom spent the last four years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lena's memory to a charity of your choice. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, MB. My sincere condolences to all the family. I have very fond memories of times spent in the Hampson home as I grew up in the neighborhood. My childhood was enriched by the "family" feel of having such close neighbors and I feel very blessed to have such wonderful memories. May happier times be of comfort to you all. - Posted by: Judy (nee Rhynard) Dusik (Neighbour) on: Jan 02, 2016

Such a sad time for all of you, my dear cousins. Aunt Lena was a very special lady, and yes, the "river" warning will always remain with me. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless. - Posted by: Patricia Lewco (Niece) on: Dec 28, 2015

So sad. Aunt Lena was like another Mother to me. Living on the other side of "the river", the message to stay away from it was always very clear! A strong lady to outlive the last of the generation. Cousins - we are the next! Cliff and I feel your sorrow deeply - sincerest condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Trudy Shirtliffe (Niece) on: Dec 27, 2015
