LOUIS LEMOING Louis LeMoing, born May 5, 1920 in Notre Dame de Lourdes, passed away peacefully December 25, 2015 in St. Boniface, surrounded by family members. He leaves to mourn him his children, Richard (Rolande Ritchot), Patricia (John Russell), Michèle (Gerry Hallworth) and Denis (Sylvie Brisebois); 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his sister Marcelle Moniot, and his sister-in-law Thérèse (Robert Deroche). Louis was predeceased by Antoinette (Nénette), his wife of 66 years, in 2012 and his son Normand in 1979. Louis and Nénette exemplified a life well lived on all fronts, including family, friends, work and travel. Louis was very accepting of those who surrounded him and his support was unconditional. He had a strong sense of community with many public involvements. His enthusiasm along every step of his life journey was contagious. Some of the things he liked included driving nice cars, dancing with Nénette, making something out of scraps, spending beautiful days at Dorothy Lake, socializing at banquets, helping on the farm in Basswood and playing 500. For this Second World War veteran, the decades saw a few career changes: a mechanic, a farmer, a co-op manager, and lastly, a financial advisor for Investors Group. He was always interested in what was happening around him and in the political and economic developments of his time. Louis took his positive attitude everywhere and he will be dearly missed. Service of remembrance to be held at St. Boniface Cathedral, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Louis was a true gentleman of the old school. He was very special as he was one of the founders of 500 Tache Condominium. A life well lived and a great human being in every sense of the word.
