HELEN MCNAUGHTON June 18, 1926 - December 29, 2015 Helen McNaughton, nee Peters, of Niverville, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at St. Pierre Hospital, St. Pierre Jolys, MB. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Keith McNaughton; and their daughter Brenda (Barry); sons, Brian (Lois) and Laurie (Sandra); one sister Mary (George) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, 13 siblings, infant daughter Cheryl, and most recently her youngest daughter Heather Lynn (Abe). Helen was born near Aberdeen, SK, on June 18, 1926. She married Keith on August 22, 1952 and together they raised their four children in numerous communities in Northern Manitoba. She loved to bake, sew and was an avid bird watcher. She was very involved in teaching Sunday School and her faith kept her strong through all the trials and joys that she experienced throughout her life. The memorial service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Inner City Youth Alive, Samaritan's Purse, and the Billy Graham Association. The family would like to thank the staff and home care providers at Niverville Heritage Centre and the nursing staff at St. Pierre Hospital for taking such great care of our wife, mother and grandmother.
