Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWINONA G. CAMERON March 22, 1932 - December 17, 2015 With loved ones by her side and with deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Winona G. Cameron. Born Winona Gwendolyn Stouffer, March 22, 1932, in Holmfield, Manitoba to parents Myrtle and Kenneth Stouffer. Winona was predeceased by her husband Douglas F. Cameron, her parents, and her sister Louis Reno. Left to mourn Winona's passing and celebrate her life are her three children Susan (Michael), Roxanne (Robert), and Darryl Jaye (Connie); eight grandchildren Tammy (Scott), Patrick (Naomi), Marci (Kelly), Aaron, Megan (Jeffery), Daniel (Tricia), Stephanie (Ken), and Tyler; six great-grandchildren Tayelyn, Rayanne, Grady, Alexander, Finnley, and Camrynn. She is also survived by her sister Joan, and brother Allyn. Her life was one well lived having many adventures with her family and friends. Always closest to her heart were the ones that called her mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Winona spent many years in the retail business in Killarney, Winnipeg, and Thompson. While at The Bay in Thompson she was a friend to many and mentor to students, some of whom still have fond memories of her. We little knew that morning, that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and your thoughts are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Interment and service will follow at a later date; keeping the wishes of Winona, the service will be attended by the immediate family. The family would like to thank the staff and friends of Hillcrest Personal Care Home in Brandon, Manitoba for the care given during Winona's stay, and especially those that comforted her during her last days. Nonie as we knew her back in 1961 she was a very special woman to us! She took us in to her family as if we were blood. She shared her family with 2 lonely newly married kids. Her kindness and love that she gave us then will never be forgotten. As we had tried for so many, many years to find our military friends the years go by and we lose touch and we lose. So sorry to hear of Nonie and Douglas passing our memories are what keeps our thoughts young and treasured. Our wishes of love to Susan, Roxy Jaye, you had fantastic parents! Please accept our condolences and wishes to you and your families. Robert & Susan McDougall - Posted by: Robert & Susan McDougall (Very special old lost friend from1961) on: Jun 12, 2018
