Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY MABEL LOUISE LILLIES (nee BRAD) It is with sadness the family of Betty Lillies announces her peaceful passing on January 2, 2016, with family by her side, at Rosewood Lodge. Betty was predeceased by her husband Bert in 1984; her parents Maggie Louise and Wilfred George Brad; sisters Audrey Larcombe, Bernice Thordasson and Beverley Brad, and her brother Lorne Brad. Betty is survived by sons Harold (Betty) and Neil (Darlene) four grandchildren Carrie (Brett) Munro, Jamey (Lisa) Lillies, Susan (Jeff) Starkey, and Shauna (Jamie) Romanchuk; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters; also brother Bob Brad and Audrey; as well as many nieces and nephews. Betty lived in Woodlands before moving to Stonewall after Bert's passing. She lived at 5th Ave. Apartments then Stonewood Place and then onto Rosewood Lodge. Betty was involved in her community and the Anglican Church. She enjoyed curling and playing bingo and always a game of Yahtzee with the grandkids. She crocheted and knit and was a beautiful sewer. She also made the best homemade bread and buns which were always a favourite at family dinners along with her homemade cookies and cakes and canned goods. The family would like to thank the staff of Rosewood Lodge for their care and compassion towards Betty. As for Betty's wishes there will not be a funeral, but a graveside service for family will be held at a later date.
