WILLIAM BRUCE DUXBURY 1924 - 2016 Peacefully, on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Victoria General Hospital, William (Bill) Duxbury, beloved husband of Anne, passed away. Bill was born in 1924 and received his schooling at Elkhorn, Manitoba and continued further studies completing his C.M.A. course in accounting. He was employed with CN Accounting and Research Department for 37 years, retiring in 1983. For 18 years he was associated with Assiniboine Credit Union, as a committee and board member. During retirement he was a volunteer driver for the Cancer Foundation. Also an active board member of Harrow United Church, and a life member of the Reh-Fit Centre. Bill was predeceased by his first wife Alice Victoria in 1989; parents, Ethel and Thomas Duxbury; and brothers, Lloyd and Flt. Sgt. Thomas killed in 1941. He is survived by his sister Lorna Ellison, niece Wendy (Doug) Scott of Winnipeg, niece Moira (Donald) Drybrough of Brampton and nephew Walter (E.M.) Ellison of Toronto and families and dear friend, Wendy Ellison of Aurora, Ontario. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Avenue at Harrow on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made to Harrow United Church or a charity of your choice.
