ALAIN JOSEPH ERNEST GROUETTE Alain passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, after a long battle with Parkinson's. He was born in Winnipeg, MB, to Tobie and Hermine (Fatty) Grouette. In his early years, he was an avid golfer and curler and also enjoyed boxing. At the age of 22 years, he started his career with the Canadian National Railway and had to take an early retirement due to his illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Aline, of 59 years; his daughter Jacqueline (Ken Thompson); his two grandchildren, Justin (Kirsten) and Karlie (Trevor Martin); and one great-grandson Jaxson. He is also survived by his brother Leo (Simone); sisters, Pauline Faucher and Evelyn (Marcel Pattyn); and many nieces and nephews. Thank you to all the staff on the 4DE Unit at Actionmarguerite-Taché Centre. Also a big thank you to Dr. Pravinsager Mehta for his excellent care and kindness to Alain for many years.
