Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY PATRICIA ARIS (Parliament) 1928 - 2016 Peacefully, on Friday January 22, 2016 with family by her side, Patricia (Pat) Aris passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 87 years. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Dora Parliament; sister Dorothy Seabrook; brothers Robert and Edwin and husband Melville James Aris. Pat is survived by her daughters, Susan Aris, Andrea Aris; son-in-law Jeff Dika; granddaughter Leah Bayly; grandson Aidan Fine; four great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, Sheleigh and Steven Dika, and special niece Marcia (Fred) Wilmot. Pat was born in New Liskard, Ontario on May 7, 1928, moving to Fort William, Ontario (now Thunder Bay) as an infant. Pat was an active member of the Church of St. Stephen - St. Bede for 40 years, acting as parish secretary for 10 years, member of the Altar Guild and the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital staff on 6 East and 6A, as well as Dr. Andrew MacDairmid for their care. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, January 27, at the Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede, 99 Turner Avenue, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Pat's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 220 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3. My condolences to Andrea, Susan and families. Mrs. Aris (as she was called by me) was a very kind, generous and giving lady. She was always fun to be around. I can remember many times sitting with her and Andrea when they lived on Valley View Drive laughing about nothing. Andrea you possess many of your mother's qualities.
